Water and untreated sludge from septic tanks are listed as contaminants under the Environment Quality Act and they must be cleaned up properly. Motivated by this mission, Benjamin Leblanc, owner of Épursol, has built in the municipality of Chénéville, Petite-Nation, a brand new wastewater treatment and composting plant, which meets the strictest criteria imposed by the Ministère du Développement durable, de l’Environnement et des Parcs du Québec (MDDEP).
Through the exploitation of this plant, Épursol and its tank trucks now provide Gatineau and Cantley residents with septic tank emptying services, including proper treatment of their sewage and septic sludge instead of returning these untreated contaminants to the environment.
